Dextrin is used to enhance head retention, haze and body in any style of beer. Higher protein barley undergoes a short germination process to ensure a higher level of dextrins and higher molecular proteins. This malt is typically used at 5% and no higher than 10%.
 


 


Carefully Crafted in Butte, Montana


 

Grown exclusively in partnership with Montana farmers and malted at the Butte facility, this base malts provide an ideal foundation upon which to build any beer.

 

Typical Analysis:

  • Moisture: less than 7%
  • Color: 2.0 - 2.4°L
  • Protein: less than 13.5%
